Kir Royale
Vessel Type: Hotel Barge
Length: 127 feet
Passenger Capacity: 8
Kir Royale is a converted World War Two landing craft rebuilt into a high-spec hotel barge designed for slow travel through the Champagne region. The interior refit replaced everything with modern, bespoke finishes: a large saloon with bar, piano, and defined dining space, plus four renovated suites of more than 200 sq ft each. Suites carry contemporary en suite bathrooms with double sinks and oversized rainforest showers. The layout is engineered to feel open, quiet, and residential rather than nautical.
Exterior space is split across three distinct decks. The forward deck carries sun loungers and a heated spa pool; the aft deck adds a sheltered dining area and further loungers; the upper observation deck offers unobstructed views of the Marne and surrounding vineyards. The itinerary framework pairs cruising with private access to major Champagne houses, boutique domaines, and key historical sites such as Reims Cathedral, Château-Thierry, and Belleau Wood.
